Forge apps are fully hosted by Atlassian. When we build a Forge app, Atlassian automatically creates our development, staging, and production environments. The platform is significantly reducing the amount of code needed to write and operate an app.

With Forge, we’re in control of how and when data leaves the Atlassian cloud. As a FaaS platform Forge takes care of authentication, identity, scaling, and tenancy.
