Entra ID - Source Configuration

 

Generate Entra ID Credentials

To connect the importer to Microsoft Entra ID, you need the following credentials:

  • Application (client) ID

  • Directory (tenant) ID

  • Client secret

These credentials are generated by registering an application in Microsoft Entra ID.

Follow the instructions in the existing setup guide:
Source Configuration for Microsoft Entra ID Importer

Use that guide to create the application and obtain the required values.

Create the Source

  1. Navigate to MultiSource Importer.

  2. Open the Source page.

  3. From the list of available integrations, click the Entra ID tile.
    This opens the Entra ID source configuration form where you can enter the Name, Generated Credentials (Tenant ID, Client ID, Clients Secret) and Azure Environment.

  1. (Optional) Apply filters before adding the source to reduce the number of imported records and focus on specific data. For details, see:Filter.

  1. Click Add Source. The source will be added to the list.

  2. The next step is configuring the Destination: Destination Configuration for MultiSource Importer for JSM Assets.
