Data Normalization in Assets

If you are using the Assets feature in Atlassian, you may need to normalize your data during import.

For example, if you have an attribute for phone numbers and you would like them to be in the same format.

There are 2 ways to normalize the data in Assets.

1- Regex feature of Assets Import

In the settings of Assets Import Mapping, you will find the option to set a regex. This way, you may transform the incoming data as you wish.

2- Jira Automation

You can create a new attribute for your object type and run an automation to do the normalization.
