Connection Configuration for MultiSource Connector for CSM
Depending on your Application Edition, you can create single or multiple connections. Each connection allows you to select the source and destination mapping.

To begin, click the plus button to add a new connection.
Give a name for your connection.
Choose a source from the list.
Select a destination from the provided options.
If this is your first attempt at configuring the import, select “None” from the schedule list. You can modify this value after completing the steps outlined on this page.
Click the “Save” button.
Press the “Close” button to return to the Connections list.
Follow the three steps detailed below:
Step 1
To proceed, click the “Build” button.
Now is a great time to review your CSM Customer Directory. Please ensure that the details are updated according to your selections.
2. Test
You can test the configuration by clicking the Test button. This will import the first 10 records into your CSM. After the test runs, wait a few minutes for the process to complete, then check your CSM. This provides you with an opportunity to confirm that:
The source credentials are accurate, and the necessary permissions have been granted.
The details have been configured without any issues.
The data flows successfully.
3. Full Import
If you are satisfied with the test import outcomes, please proceed to execute a Full Import.
Pro Tip:
Please note that importing a large number of records may require a considerable amount of time. We recommend conducting this process during off-peak hours when the CSM is less frequently utilized.
Refrain from clicking the Test and Full Import buttons in quick succession; ensure that the first import has completed before initiating the next.
Important Note: Daily Imports
Daily imports are typically scheduled during late-night hours (00:00-06:00), when the system is under lighter load. However, please note that Atlassian also uses these hours for CSM version updates. If a conflict occurs, the import process may fail, and you will see an error message in your logs.
To ensure smooth operation, check your import flow daily and enable the Notify Me feature to receive alerts if an error occurs. More details: Notifications
